Move your copper lines before they’re retired

Fax machines, alarm panels, elevator phones and card terminals often still run on copper phone lines, and carriers are phasing those lines out. We find yours and move them on your schedule.

Fax machine and phone on an old wall

Is this for you?

Most offices have at least one line nobody has thought about in years. Look for these.

  • A fax machine, especially in a medical, dental or legal office
  • An alarm or fire panel that dials out
  • An elevator emergency phone
  • A gate, door entry or call box
  • An older card terminal
  • Line charges on your phone bill nobody can explain

What you get

A line inventory

We list every line on your bill, what it’s connected to and whether you still need it.

Replacements that fit

Each line moves to a service suited to what it does, whether that’s fax, alarm or voice.

Mobility and IoT options

Some devices can move to a cellular connection, with no phone line at all.

Numbers kept

Fax and alarm numbers stay the same where the device needs them to.

Testing with your vendors

We work with your alarm or elevator company so each device is tested after the move.

Old lines closed

Once everything works, we help you cancel the lines you no longer need.

How the move works

We move one line at a time, starting with the ones that matter most, so nothing stops working in between.

  1. Send us a recent phone bill. It shows every line, including the forgotten ones.
  2. We match each line to a device. Fax, alarm, elevator, gate or phone.
  3. We plan each move. Scheduled with you and, where needed, your alarm or elevator company.
  4. We test, then close the old line. Only after the new connection is working.

Common questions

Something we haven’t covered? Call us on 714-594-6000 and ask.

Is my copper line going to be shut off?

Carriers are retiring copper lines area by area, and the timing varies. We don’t guess at dates. It’s easier to move your lines calmly than to wait for a notice.

Will my fax machine still work?

In most cases, yes. Fax can move to a line built for it, or to fax by email if you’d rather retire the machine.

What about our alarm system?

We work with your alarm company to move the panel to a supported connection and test it with them.

Do we have to move everything at once?

No. We can move lines one at a time, starting with the ones that matter most.

Send us a recent phone bill and we’ll tell you what’s still on copper.
